Pratibha 2007

There are n number of music competitions held across the country, and even in Mumbai. We have talented individuals presenting themselves and their talents to the audience. The audience too gets an opportunity to listen to some wonderful songs and music and in return applaud and appreciate the participants. A similar competition was held yesterday, in Mumbai. Had it not been for the esteemed group of people who participated in the event, it could be considered as yet another competition. But this time, the competitors were none other than doctors. Yes, our very own medicine-men who heal others. Most of the time, the healing is of the body, by the use of medicines. However, yesterday, they healed the souls of the audience too by rendering a variety of melodies, much to the delight of the audience. The very fact that the doctors too take out time from their busy schedules to fulfill their passion is indeed noteworthy. Towards the end of the competition, there were various performances by the doctors, which was also very well received by the audience. Some of the members of the audience started dancing on their seats and some of them actually reached the base of the stage and were dancing away to glory. Apart from the musical extravaganza, there was also an exhibition of paintings, photographs and handicrafts by the doctors themselves.

It is indeed heartwarming to know the extracurricular side of the doctors. May GOD bless the medical fraternity, not only for serving the society, but also for organizing such events for the benfit of their fraternity and the general public.
